bolanorthhighlands
I have a box with (4)8" speakers. I want to make my (4)8" box into a (2)12" box. I was going to use half inch thick mdf to seal the (4)8" speaker holes (the total outside depth would be 15". The inside depth would still be 12"). The box has (2)6" holes. I wanted to ask how long of a 6" port would I need for my (2)12s? It looks like it says (2)20" long ports. The port will be mounted outside of the box. Or I can seal one of the 6" holes and mount one 8" long port. My 2002 Kia Spectra LS My YouTube Channel
ShadeTreeMechanic
What kind of power are you going to run to them? Are you sure you want 45hz? That will make the kick drums loud but will not have much low bass. 91 C350 Centurion conversion ( Four Door One Ton Bronco) 250A Alternator (Second Alternator Coming Soon) G65 AGM Up Front / Two G31 AGM in Back Pioneer 80PRS CT Sounds AT125.2 / CT Sounds 6.5 Strato Pro component Front Stage CT Sounds AT125.2 / Lanzar Pro 8" coax w/compression horn tweeter Rear Fill FSD 5000D 1/2 ohm (SoundQubed 7k Coming Soon) Two HDS315 Four Qubes Each 34hz (Two HDC3.118 and New Box Coming Soon)

ShadeTreeMechanic
If you could do a single external six inch port at 17 inches long, it would give you 34hz. If you did internal, you would need to make it 20 inches for 34hz. 91 C350 Centurion conversion ( Four Door One Ton Bronco) 250A Alternator (Second Alternator Coming Soon) G65 AGM Up Front / Two G31 AGM in Back Pioneer 80PRS CT Sounds AT125.2 / CT Sounds 6.5 Strato Pro component Front Stage CT Sounds AT125.2 / Lanzar Pro 8" coax w/compression horn tweeter Rear Fill FSD 5000D 1/2 ohm (SoundQubed 7k Coming Soon) Two HDS315 Four Qubes Each 34hz (Two HDC3.118 and New Box Coming Soon)
bolanorthhighlands
But if the vas was a recommended enclosure. Would it be sealed or ported? I can change my fs to any frequency I want?
