Airborne
It's classified as a firearm. Nothing more. Now, n being cautious is always a good thing when it comes to the NFA, but I have yet to hear of anyone who knows anyone I know that was even harassed about the brace. Save for a few idiots at our range who had to be dramatic or a know it all making up reasons to be scared or to get attention. I'm sure you know that "guy" who warns everyone with fines and tales of prison rape over violations of laws they can't name of cite. But that doesn't mean it never happened. It's a firearm, period. If you change it with a stock or vertical foregrip then you become a firearms engineer...
ShadeTreeMechanic
Like with most guns, change one thing (the wrong thing) and you're in hot water. Even having the parts on hand to make something illegal shows intent and they can bust you on that too. 91 C350 Centurion conversion ( Four Door One Ton Bronco) 250A Alternator (Second Alternator Coming Soon) G65 AGM Up Front / Two G31 AGM in Back Pioneer 80PRS CT Sounds AT125.2 / CT Sounds 6.5 Strato Pro component Front Stage CT Sounds AT125.2 / Lanzar Pro 8" coax w/compression horn tweeter Rear Fill FSD 5000D 1/2 ohm (SoundQubed 7k Coming Soon) Two HDS315 Four Qubes Each 34hz (Two HDC3.118 and New Box Coming Soon)

Airborne
Had a range master ask for proof of legality once. Well, I was accused before I was asked. Some folks need to make drama.

Enough to put several guns together with a good assortment of barrels, buttstocks etc. Every AK parts kit I ever got had the factory fire controls group with them. Supressor parts will get you hemmed up if you don't have permission.
