If you could shoulder it then it's an sbs so don't put a butt stock on it. I love my 870 got to get one of these. Sbs are legal in Canada for home use but not a pistol. It doesn't fall into any current category really, but who knows. The ATF is its own animal with a seemingly unpenetrable set of arbitrary guidelines designed to confuse us so we won't see how stupid these micro definitions really are. Thats exactly the way im seeing this too, probably classified as a pistol, and youd be in big shit if you put a butt stock on it and got caught with. Which also leaves the option open to do it with the proper tax stamp though. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
