IKnowImLost224
Hey guys, looking for some help on designing a box for an HCCA 12.2. It will be running off of a SAZ-3500 in a 2012 Malibu. Want to do rear facing sub and port. This is a daily setup and I'm fine with anywhere in the 32-38 HZ range. Max dimensions: 20" Deep 32" Wide 13.5" Tall
IKnowImLost224
This is what I was thinking so far but I can't get my Port Area on Torres big enough to match what Triticums calculator says.
YukonXL04
Your going to have to bring airspace down, and bring port area and length up. Not sure of that exact sub. But 2.71 for a 12 seems like alot 18 Sierra 6.2 Z71 : 3 F8L's, DD M2a @.67, 1.95@33 05 TL build log SOLD 04 YukonXL : jvc kw-v51bt , RE 6.5c, 4 jbl gt5 12s, Memphis pr1000.1 5.5 cu.ft. sealed
Triticum Agricolam
Due to your space limitation and the large amount of power you are running, you probably aren't going to be able to fit enough port area to make everything perfect. You just have to do the best you can and accept that you are going to get some port compression and noise. It is what it is. I agree with YukonXLs suggestion of shrinking down the net volume a bit to make room for more port. IKnowImLost224
This was the other option I was looking at with an aero port. I know Joe X is great with designs, if Joe or someone else is able to make me something I'm open to suggestions!
YukonXL04
If flared on both ends, you might be alright with that. I have 2 flared 6" aero's on my 7cube box with 2k going to it. IKnowImLost224
Yeah it would be flared on both ends. It's an adjustable one I got from BigAssPorts
ShadeTreeMechanic
You will need about twice as much port. a lot of it depends on the power. 91 C350 Centurion conversion ( Four Door One Ton Bronco) 250A Alternator (Second Alternator Coming Soon) G65 AGM Up Front / Two G31 AGM in Back Pioneer 80PRS CT Sounds AT125.2 / CT Sounds 6.5 Strato Pro component Front Stage CT Sounds AT125.2 / Lanzar Pro 8" coax w/compression horn tweeter Rear Fill FSD 5000D 1/2 ohm (SoundQubed 7k Coming Soon) Two HDS315 Four Qubes Each 34hz (Two HDC3.118 and New Box Coming Soon)

I'd try 2 (max 2.5) cu Feet : that should be enough. black BMW X1 2.0 l 192 hp OEM head unit, Amplifiers : Audison AP 8.9 amp with integrated DSP and Ampere Audio 1200. Focal ES 100 K in front doors, and Dayton RS 180 for midbass under the front seats. 2 SSA DEMONS 10" subs, in a 2.6 ft3 ported box.
