jmc916 Posted March 27, 2018 Report Posted March 27, 2018 Hello, I just got off the phone with a family member. He says he had someone install a new deck into his truck. There was already an amp in there powering his component speakers. He says now his component speakers sound "bassy" and "mono like". First thing I told him to do was check the settings on his deck and the gains in the amp. He said he did those things and everything is turned down. Is it possible that the amp output on the new deck is not made for an amp powering component speakers? Thanks in advance!
CstrokerV Posted March 27, 2018 Report Posted March 27, 2018 Check to see if they put the rcas in the sun out instead of front rcas in the rear of the deck my build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/142505-small-build-log-4-dc-lvl3-10s-tl-update-link-to-rebuild/ http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/154258-rebuild-6-lvl3-12s-update-small-video-nothing-spectacular/ new build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/188181-03-trailblazer-slow-build-8-dc-lvl3-12-m1-motor-m2-parts/
bcbrassard Posted March 27, 2018 Report Posted March 27, 2018 I would check HU settings again. And if someone hooked up to the sub pre-outs i wouldn't be turning it on /or up very loud so you don't hurt you speakers. IMO its always best to learn how to simple shit yourself to avoid these issue's. Hope it all works out.
Skullz Posted March 27, 2018 Report Posted March 27, 2018 Check the amp setting and make sure it is still set to full range, it may have been switched to the lower frequency range by mistake. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
