Dc Audio Vs .........................

Recommended Posts

Theres no honest way to compare one from another. I have seen them hang with the other brands just fine. Weather one is better then another depends on the installer and the application. I doubt you will be disappointed in the DC performance.

not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it. :)

lol your comparing a 9500 to a lvl 4? To me that seems unfair, to the OP for your price range I assume you will be very happy with a DC imo.

dude.

second page in the thread titled " DD9500 vs. DC Level 4

here is a direct wuote from rusty's first post.

OK so lets start by saying i did this for fun in our Street A Car, The LV4 is a SQL woofer (long coil, lots of moving mass, fairly large gap)where the 9500 is really built for Street class SPL(superlight moving mass, composite cone, supertight gap, extream ampunts of motor) heres the details of the test, everything was clamped and tested for exact results

1 Hifonics amp Clamped at 3850 watts

Freq Burped 57Hz

DD 950010 D2 w/ composite cone SPL 153.7

DC LV410 D2 (stock) SPL 153.3

I was really surprised only .4 behind for a woofer that costs 1/3 of the price of a DD 9500

Every application is diffrent but these are the results from our St A car, I just put another LV410D2 together with just a LV5 D2 coil change, i left the suspention alone, I will have the test results from that later today. Should be interesting to see if it gains.
