violntshags Posted August 28, 2018 Report Posted August 28, 2018 Hey peeps, I’m installing a 12k amp for two 18’s at 1 ohm. Have no clue what size fuse I should use off the battery. I’ve been reading it should be what the amp draw is. That would make it like a 650 amp fuse.. any help would be appreciated

If it is a 12k amp it likely has multiple pos/neg inputs I'd hope, so you could split up the load between runs, so two runs of 1/0 ofc would get you about 600 A total (300 per). The manufacturer will have specifications on what size fuse to use, so I'd suggest running what that calls for.
