SPL2K has a point.....kinda.

Glocks are RIDULOUSLY reliable....like fire a 50,000+ rounds w. out a glitch reliable (my personal G19)

I shoot it rapid fire, good ammo, cheap ammo, clean w/ever I have time....some times it goes to the range and gets 300+ rounds three or 4 times b4 I get around to cleaning it (oh for shame I know) no problems thus far.

BTW- the Taurus and Berreta 92 are damn near identical in form and function...my buddy has a Berreta 92f, and my brother had a Taurus T92 back in about 95ish...both highly accurate in my book...as long as ur in "the real america" and not Cali they will accept 15rnds of 9mm in the handle/mag and you can get hi-cap like 20-30 round mags for them.

Glock also has 33rnd mags avail...so even more lead to throw around although truthfully you should be well practiced enough to down a bad guy with under 5 shots or you shouldn't have a gun.

I'd say stay away from a SUB compact, I draw the line at a 4" barrel on the short side and about 6" on the long end...any shorter and it's quite a bit harder to control and longer makes it difficult to maneuver (minimally) but more importantly conceal/transport or store...and Don't get caught carrying unless u have a CCW.

I was just lookin at a FN FNP .45 14+1 and comes w/ 3 mags...Drooool.

deagle aka the arm cannon are the shit man

Unless you want to fire more than 2 rounds w/ out having to clear the last shell.

I have YET to see a deagle (other than the .357 version) make it past 3 successive rounds w/ out a jam.

Waste of a lotta $$ IMO both gun and ammo....and not that impressive on the "wow" factor.

...maybe a Llama or Baby eagle in .40 or 9mm.

There's no real need for big ol honkin bullets, just buy some decent ammo for a 9mm, .40, or .45.

One way of taking care of this is by having the ramp on the DE polished out. Sucks to spend money on top of money to make a gun run but these are the breaks. Gotta pay to play. I've had DE's in all 5 calibers and the only one that gave me problems was teh .50. After the ramp jpb it was good to go.

6K rounds later still runs like a champ but I've gone through 6 sets of springs!

Rolex you sicken me.

I perfer the XD's, the subcompact series is great and pretty fricken accurate from 15-20 yards and with your license you can carry it on you with very little showing profile.
