Clif
I have a tuning calculator, i think exposport made it, In his calc the vent is always calculated inside the box, i want to know how do i edit it to make the vent external? Clif
I edited this calculator to what i think should be right to give you tunning freq of internal and external vents. again this is exposports calculator, i did not make it i thank him much for making it, i just made a small addition to it. Can anyone please see if this is correct. Thanks. small error... give me a sec to fix edit: link removed Edited May 5, 2008 by Clif Quote 03 Trailblazer EXT LT In Dash Rear Flip Down Polk Audio Font & Rear Stage Hifonics Zeus 4 Chan Amp Hifonics Brutus Mono Amp 12" Rockford Fosgate Power HX2 T-Line tuned to 45hz 18"BTL T-line @31Hz (9 weeks pregnant)

andym85
thats the calc i made...and are u doing an external slot port? if so then a bunch of stuff has got to change b/c the the equation takes into account the depth of the box in figuring port length....if anything, make the port displacement "0" and make your port the length you see in "Lv"....if your using round ports externally, then all you have to do is set the port displacement to "0"...hope that helped some Quote i likes me some audio stuff... Clif
sorry amatt85, well thanks for your calc, did you download the calc that i updated? i made somechanges to it. all i did was make the tunning go off the whole box vol, minus the subs displacement... i think it looks about right. BigPimpin91
On a related note, since Microsoft is being a dick and wont let me use this calculator. What should my port height be if my port is 38" long x 11" wide and I want it tuned to 27hz? Quote BigPimpin91's Banging Music
