I will be running 3 Crunch amps for a total of 1500 watts rms, Kinetik HC1400 and HC600 paralleled together. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.

Guys, I'm only running 1500 watts RMS total to my whole system, everything! The chart that is pinned says 2 gauge can go up to 1500 watts, would that not be enough for me? Cost is a huge issue and I know that the big stuff gets expensive, so I want to get only what size is needed, so I can buy the best quality wire I can get. darvex Posted May 7, 2008 Report Posted May 7, 2008 I recommend 1/0 awg wire. It may cost about 20.00 more up front but there's tons of accessories. You'll find that there's a very limited selection of blocks, fuseholders and so on out there for 2 gauge wiring. Plus the 1/0 would allow for upgrades / changes later. Which ever you go with be sure it's not CCA wire. I would only buy OFC stranded wiring. Quote
