Rf Or Sundown?

Recommended Posts

HAHA this will be good!

ditto.

both amps will put out close to the same power. The sundown is more efficent, and maybe cheaper in cost, not to mention many people run the sundown at 0.5 ohms daily without a problem, where the rockford cant.

I currently have 2 of those rfs but older, they taken a beating and keep on going. Tho Id take two of them sundowns over the rfs just because the power they can do strapped at 1 ohm.

i would choose the sundown for the efficiency , very similar in power to the rockford.

sundown, more power, more stabile at low ohms, more efficient

it would be more comparable to say rf1500bd vs sundown1500... if those were the two ur comparing id say rf1500

and sundown doesnt have an annoying fan running also if that matters

I know some people are hung up on a certain brand because they use it, but to me it doesn't matter (and I don't own a single thing from either).

From a specs point of view (and from a previous unmentionable argument) the sundown was made to put out that much power, so it will be more efficient and most likely put out a bit more. Especially at .5 ohms. You are comparing a 1500w amp and a 1000w amp, from two very good companies, but still a 1500 vs a 1000.

You can get both for under $500....imho I would say get the one that best suits your needs whether it be low ohm loads or w/e? Get the one that best suits you.
