GinoC7
Hey guys, I'm trying to install an amp and subwoofer in my car. Currently I have a stock subwoofer that I would like to tap into and send to the amplifier. Here are the wirings for the stock subwoofer below: The green wire is positive and the black wire is negative. I want to splice into those and send it to the amp shown below: My question is that since there is only one positive and one negative wire would I just plug them into one of the RCA inputs such as the left (white)? Or would I get a splitter to input both instead. Here is the other side of the amplifier that will be leading into the subwoofer: I would use one of the speaker outputs, positive and negative to the subwoofer. Here is the manual if it helps! ehall8702
What are you trying to accomplish? Power the factory subwoofer with the pioneer or just get signal to use the pioneer and a different subwoofer? If u want to use the factory sub wires to feed signal to the pioneer and run an aftermarket sub, you need a line output converter. Will have to use jumper wire to feed both inputs on the LOC or use one channel of LOC and a y adapter on the RCA output Sonu have 2 rca s to plug into amp. Most amps will work mono with jut the "left" RCA plugged in also. 2009 Silverado 1500, 7.5" lift, 37x12.50r17s, Built Gen 4 5.3L ( 4.8l flat pistons, decked 243s, SS2 Cam, Pac 1218 springs, ported intake, 120mm TB, Long tubes, 3" duals HP tuner software tuned by me), 4l80e swapped and 4.56 gears. AaronT
There was a post like this in the cheap bass group on face book, a guy was wiring rcas to his speaker outputs and saying it makes his subs bang louder then he also said he sells all his used stuff to his friend and his friend hooks them up right like "all y'all do" and can't figure out why it didn't "be banging" like his car did. Lol Don't be that guy, use the high leval inputs or loc line said above
