01xtreme
the enclosure is 7.5cf tuned to 32Hz. Your box is tuned to 32hz and you peaked at 44hz. Try tuning the box @ 44hz and see what kind of difference it makes. I always leave my aeroports tuned to 32hz for the street and pull them out & shorten them to bump up the frequency for spl. I was just metering it because I had the use of a term-lab for the day. I never really do contests, I am more interested in building it up as a ground pounder. I know I could have tuned it higher, but I dont think it would sound good on music at all. 01xtreme
Sorry to keep beating a dead horse, but I finally got around to covering my box. I used black vinyl, and this was my first time covering a box...so take it easy on me. Hopefullt some of the wrinkles will come out when it sits in the sun. babyjoker
u can always use a heat gun to take the wrinkles out, but be careful not to burn through it. 1999 Eclipse N/T 12'' Fi BTL Gp3000d PM D3100

01xtreme
thanks, I had a friend who has done it before guiding me through it, and I told him if I ever mention covering a box in vinyl gain that he should save me the headache and just punch me right in the face. without a doubt the biggest PITA that I have ever had to go through. but I think it looks good, so you live you learn I guess.
