Heat Shrink and Wire Ferrules Question

Recommended Posts

Has anyone used heat shrink tubing lined with adhesive for wire ferrules? I am trying to figure out what size tubing and what a good ratio would be for 0/1 gauge wire. This is going from my amp to my distro block. I have had trouble with my wire ferrules coming loose with normal heat shrink. So I was just curious to see if there are any heat shrink tubing that can be used with 0/1 gauge.

I used these ferrules, just to be able to get all strands into the amp and fuse block. and just snipped the plastic collars off. Haven’t come loose yet. Stinger hpm 1/0 wire. Used this heat shrink along with sky high audio shrink as well

avoid non marine grade under hood they will loosen up over time from the heat.  Use adhesive kind it waterproofs connection also.
