Charger Posted May 29, 2008 Report Posted May 29, 2008 I think it would be weird to see you build a purpose built dB Drag car Steve. Your Tahoe is sick and don't be put off by people with less than 1/4 of the system saying it's 'soft' My friend has a CRX as his daily car (He bought it to compete in StA) and now he doesn't want to compete anymore, just have a daily groundpounder but he is stuck with the CRX. He is having a hell of a time trying to get a good daily box for two 15s in it. In saying that, some cars may be good for numbers but that doesn't mean they'd sound loud to ear and vice versa. I'd take the loud sounding car over the 60Hz buzz box... things get boring pretty quick when you can't make a vid of the new Jeezy bumping in your car because the box is tuned to 50Hz Previous 150+ daily rides: Volvo 240 wagon 2 x DD Audio 9915s walled, Isuzu Trooper 6 x DD Audio 3515s walled clamshell, Lexus LX470 2 x Kicked Solo X 18s, Lexus LS400 4 x American Bass HD18 walled SMD - System of The Month August 2008 My Youtube Videos
Team Bassick - Kimo Posted May 29, 2008 Report Posted May 29, 2008 you fuckers got me wanting to get a ford fiesta or some tin can like that and go full burp so i can prove i am capable of "real" numbers....face it, the Tahoe, unless walled off to the b-pillar (same with excursions) is not a good car for numbers. Even walled up to the pillar its still not a good car for numbers.....some are, some arent, this one isnt. Its good for moving air and shaking pavement though. It would be cool to see you back in the lanes again. However, Time and Money is very precious these days. If you gonna build a competition car build a Bass Race/Street Beat vehicle. Definately more fun and more use of your equpiment that way. We make a day out of it when we compete, you've already met our cooler IF YOU ALL DON'T KNOW STEVE IS A USAC/DB DRAG VETERAN. We've competed at some of the same shows back in '03 and '04. Check his or my stats and you'll see his name in there. KIMO @teambassick http://www.teambassick.com

All Night Long Posted May 29, 2008 Report Posted May 29, 2008 offcourse crx..get a decent one for about 1g the new meade mobile It would be pretty hard to get 4 18's to fit in a CRX with the proper airspace for them to do well. Maybe 2 18's, but if I were going to do a Civic for a daily loud car then I would try out a Civic hatch. There's alot more room in one of those than a CRX and I do believe they sound pretty good on music.
Team Bassick - Kimo Posted May 29, 2008 Report Posted May 29, 2008 Hatch civics suck for numbers too? Fook.. Cause.. i got one.. and its like 50% done.. According to Rip Rock (an extreme team out of canada) the biggest problem with a civic hatcback or even crx is the distant from the b-pillar forward when building a wall. You might actually get better results with a 4 door (*hints at Steve*) because the b-pillar is closer. Even their extreme car is a 4 door, of course you'd never know it with all the body work and modifications done to it. KIMO @teambassick http://www.teambassick.com
