A little about my car, its a 1983 Chevy Impala 4 door big body. I have a Alphasonik PMA600HC Amp, 2 12inch MTX Jackhammer JH4512X2D, a lightning audio LSD10DT-03 Capacitor, i also have 2 Boston SL95 6x9's, and 2 Boston S75 4x6's, the HU is a Pioneer Premier DEH-P980BT. The Problem i am having is my headlights Dim extremely bad at night time and when i am stopped at a light with my system on my car will die, i just put a new battery in and i installed my capacitor from my old system. What can i do to fix this.

I am just getting into doing my own installs so i dont know to much about it.

Okay, I had that problem too until I looked up how to upgrade the "big 3"

#1

Run atleast a 4 gauge wire from your - battery terminal to your vehicle ground spot.

#2

Run atleast a 4 gauge wire from your vehicle ground spot to your engine block ground spot.

#3

Run atleast a 4 gauge wire from your + battery terminal to your alternator + output terminal. Make sure to fuse this wire as close to the battery as possible.

If this doesn't totally solve things, you may want to think about adding a small deep cycle dry cell battery in your trunk.

4 15" FI Q D2's in 12 cubes tuned to 32hz

1- T1000.1bd's

3 Maxx 29 deep cycles

4 runs of 1/0 gauge

-Big 3

-Trunk sealed off from the cabin

Custom 15.8 dual-volt switching MLA module

All in a CAR.

X3

This means your voltage is dropping around 9 volts lucky something has not went up in smoke not just talking about your audio equipment!

Do the big 3 I would use 0 gauge and never have to touch it again do that and try a missing link it also ups your voltage

Oh and kick the cap to the curb

Have you ever had your woofers blown?

I have an 80 Impala

like previously stated, upgrade your underhood to 1/0

make sure amp is grounded to FRAME and not the trunk floor...

there are rubber bushings/body mounts that seperate car body from the frame

chances are you alt may be toast already, take it to get checked out

I use a 260amp Iraggi alt in mine
