Anybody heard of this thing?

http://www.rotarywoofer.com/

Looks like it produces frequencies from 1Hz – 30Hz.

Here is a movie of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7r5UH9myhw

Looks like they also have a car prototype: http://www.eminent-tech.com/randd2.html.... although it only did 120db but this was at sub 20hz. Im sure with a little box engineering and some more power, this could easily get alot louder.

Who is gonna be the first to throw this in an install??? Meade???

I have seen these before and they are good for super low frequencies that we cant hear, but can feel. I've heard of them being used in theaters to add some depth to the sound effects. I just cant see it being practical for a car [although a lot of setups i've seen I would have never considered practical"

Current Setup:

Factory HU with LOC

mids/highs-Insignia components

LOL. So true.

The frequencies that this puts out, at least the higher end frequencies, can be heard if they are loud enough. Although if you had 2 of these things in a car and tuned them super low, they would probably rattle the car apart.

the reason why this sub was first created was to make the inaudible frequencies audible.

i could see it working well in a home theater setup especially for explosions
