jayjay6888
ok so ive hit a snag... i have been wanting to get an 18 for a while now first a 18Q now ive been thinking about getting a 18 BL but im afraid that i will have to much power for it and not enough for a BTL nor do i have the money for a BTL ill Be purchasing my amp later on this week from a local seller its a Hifonics BX2200d..... and yes i know the amp is overrated and that the claimed 2200 at 1ohm is probally somewhere around 1700 but i believe that is to much for a BL and i dont want to have to recone it later from overpowering it.... so do what subs in the same price range can take at least 1500(rated for 1500rms)? and does anyone know of a time frame for that LVL4 XL and is it still going to be added to the product line? 1 Fi Sp4 18 Crescendo 2k selenium mids audioque supertweets Hifonics for mids and and highs 1/0 power and grounds ---> on the way singer alt and possibly another 2k depending how sub likes 1 2k

jayjay6888
ive always been told that gain doesnt control watts like that... so pretty much just use my DMM and insted of using the voltage for say full rms use a voltage for 1500 and get that BL? 1 Fi Sp4 18 Crescendo 2k selenium mids audioque supertweets Hifonics for mids and and highs 1/0 power and grounds ---> on the way singer alt and possibly another 2k depending how sub likes 1 2k
newls1
I myself will be powering my 2 18" BL's with ~1400RMS to each sub, that is why I ordered my BL's with all the options. It is my understanding that a "LOADED" BL can RMS @ ~1500watts no problem. I say this with only the knowledge that I have learned here. For the record, my 2 18 BL's show up here this monday according to UPS!!! I can't wait. I love my staffie So anti FACEBOOK it isn't even funny
Derrick824
Loaded Bls will easily take 1500-1600watts rms all day long without breaking a sweat.

Boon
People fear power too much If you're sensible it will suck up 1700wrms. Just don't play 5 minutes of sine wave to it and don't clip it. 10.x volts fo' life!
