Why not just strap them and run at 1 ohm to get like 375 watts or so to each one? Or am I completely mistaken lol Thermally, yes. Mechanically, at low frequencies, it becomes a problem with breaking the driver physically - strong motor can yank the spiders loose from the basket. Or am I completely mistaken lol Why?With 32 8"s in a fairly efficient box, with about 187w RMS to each, close to 6,000w RMS total and it'll still get loud... Strapping the amps at 1 ohm also removes the warranty on em. They don't need more than 200 watts, especially ported, it'll be sick. Ive sat in Randy's Asstro and with 30 10's to almost 25k rms pushes come air. I can definitely see this explorer pushing some decent air as well.
