Derrick824 Posted July 5, 2008 Report Share Posted July 5, 2008 If they are true 2,000watts then a 40a or 60a fuse ain't gonna work. Even if thats max power and they're only good for 1,000watts rms a 40a or 60a still won't be good enough. You need to check your owner's manual for the proper fuse sizing for those amplifiers. What headunit do you have? read what he said what size fuse does the amp require what size fuse are you using i think 4ga is a bit small for that much power i bet the fuse you are using is to small probally a 60a and the amp is drawing to much current throught it poping it.
