NightCrawler Posted July 5, 2008 Report Posted July 5, 2008 what is happening im blowing fuses right and left i checked all my connections theres no shorts or ground faults nothing i can find. i turn it up about half way or lil bit more and after about 5 min it blows my fuses for my sub amps im useing 40 and 60 amp fuses .i just dont get it Quote

Derrick824 Posted July 5, 2008 Report Posted July 5, 2008 If they are true 2,000watts then a 40a or 60a fuse ain't gonna work. Even if thats max power and they're only good for 1,000watts rms a 40a or 60a still won't be good enough. You need to check your owner's manual for the proper fuse sizing for those amplifiers. Quote

What headunit do you have? read what he said what size fuse does the amp require what size fuse are you using i think 4ga is a bit small for that much power i bet the fuse you are using is to small probally a 60a and the amp is drawing to much current throught it poping it.
