Torres Posted July 23, 2008 Author Report Posted July 23, 2008 ok...this might sound dumb...but ima ask anyway cuz i'm stumped. but...how do you tune the amps when they're strapped? i mean...i KNOW how to tune an amp with a DMM, but is there a trick to do it when they're strapped? because i did it from both amps, one on each left terminal, and the readings were everywhere. tried it on just one amp, and readings were everywhere. so i disconnected the negatives going from each amp, and the RCA's from between the amps so i was only on the master amp and just tried tuning it that way, and i could only get the AC voltage to get up to around 94 volts before the readings started bouncing up and down again. is there a different way to do this that i dont know of? at 2 ohms, i need the voltage set at 109.5 between the two. i thought the master amp over ruled the slave amp more or less? or do i have to tune both amps?

Are you taking + reading from 1 amp and -reading from the other amp? you did not forget the speaker wire between amps did you? you can cook bacon shirtless if you're not a pussy...lol not hatin, but am i wrong here it looks as if the amp is not grounded its hooked directly to the battery. it that the way it should be.
