Bigg Boy Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 I tired wrapping my doors today in vinyl took me 2 hours, and came out garbage and just got me pissed..... I could cover them in a fleece like material fine, but I want it to look nicer then that.... I was gonna paint them, but i dont they will hold up to my daily use well... My question is what would u guys say to wrap it in? and how? I went through the same dilema with my pillar pods and ended up painting them with a thick fleckstone spray and a clearcoat. Ray Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 Vinyl on that door doesnt look to bad, I can see a issue on the outside of the panel (where the door opens up), you have a high spot and a 90 in 1 place. But should make it.. gonna take time, and 2 hours...ha Ive spent 7 hours wrapping 1 door before. Big P Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 goto a machine shop and have them cut you some nice stainless or aluminum to use as kick panels then paint the rest of the glass work to match the car. you could also use tinted gel coat.
