FiQ150db
Hi Im in the Uk where Fi has just landed. For my next setup I will be running two 18's in a 15-17cuft walled install. Each sub will have a Trutech Hammer H1 powering it (so 1500wrms give or take). Now I have ordered 2 18" Q's but got thinking if I should have gone with the BL's ? The car is a small hatchback (Ford fiesta) And I was hoping I could get some opinions of what would be the best option ? Im after all out loud streetbass and note a one note wonder Any views ? newls1
The Q's will be more "musical" and giving them 1500Watts, although is ok, the BL's "loaded" would take this abuse all day long, and might fit your needs better......... Use your Q's that you have coming, if you dont like it, sell em, and get BL's...No worries though, im sure the Q's will satisfy you. roscoe1129
2 18's in a fiesta talk about a squeeze! but yeah the Q's will handle a little power in the proper enclosure, but like said above if you dont likey sell and get the BL's Quote Some people need a sympathetic pat... on the head...with my hammer Scientia est Vox "In Nomine Patris et Filii et Spiritus Sancti" DONT BE AFRAID TO USE THE SEARCH BUTTON!!! FiQ150db
Hmmmm. Do BL's really sound like crap ? Are they slammy like a DD or still keep the Fi type of sound ? Heard a DC LV4 and I want to be as far away from that type of bass as possible. It was just noise. Theoretical question - If everything was installed to a Tee what db figure would I be looking at on a burp from 2 x 18" Q's 2 x 18" BL's This install is for balls out loudness but still listenable on a daily basis. Im getting 145-6 from a boot install with 2 12" Re Mx's so I'd like to go way past that score. Thanks

AI James
sound is subjective, as you dont like the lvl 4 installed properly they sound better then BL's all day long IMO of course Everyone that owns a BL and uses it daily is going to say they love it. Ive owned a BL Q and lvl 4 and the Q and lvl 4 i would take either one over the BL for listening pleasure, but if i just wanted to get loud id go for a BL
