Guest aseanj52
i dont think theres enough threads on those bolts It's a 2 inch bolt, and it's got to go through the 3/4 MDF then the sub. . . .It should be good. If not when the day comes I'll buy longer ones.
01xtreme
he was saying the thread doesnt come far enough up the bolt (i.e. you bolts are too long). the part of the bolt not threaded is probably longer than 3/4 inch plus the mounting ring on your sub. Plus you have to remember that the T-nuts are going to sink into the wood about 1/4 inch or so. I think he is trying to say you won't really be able to tighten it, since it is only going through 3/4 mdf Quote 94 3000gt 18" Kicker Solo X KX2500.1 2 KX350.4 8 JBL Coax Speakers 250A Mechman Alt
Guest aseanj52
But with the way i am putting the bolts through it will work because i have to go from on top the mounting ring which is about 3/4 then the wood 3/4 so 1.5 inches. Roughly lol
audiofanaticz
I dont see what the deal is, drill holes in mounting locations. hammer in t nut on back side of front baffle (inside the box) put speaker in hole, put in bolt (as in you do a screw) and tighten.
