Blackedout
Any of you guys know what its like to walk outside and see your life in flames? It is the worst feeling in the whole entire world. I've been into audio about a year now, and it has been nothing but a passion. It took over my life. I sunk most the money I could dig up with an eight dollar an hour job into it. I fucked up.... I put the battery (HC600) under my seat and apparently the wires on the bottom of the seat hit the battery terminals. I had a capacitor under the seat for 2 months, so I didn't think anything about it. Played my music with the brand new battery for about 10 minutes, everything was great, system was SLAPPIN. Got home, after going around the block to test it out, and was completely satisfied, Hadn't eaten all day so I went inside to get some food. Came back out maybe 5 minutes later to get a soda out in the garage and my car was completely gone. My system used to consist of: One 1996 toyota tacoma standard cab Kicker 1000.1 4 gauge wiring Rockford RCAs/ Distribution Block 2 12'' CVRs Diamond Audio 300.4 Schoshe Noise Filters (3) Kinetic HC600 Kicker tweeters Eclipse Triaxles Power Acoustic Double Din/ DVD All I got left: 2/3 of a tacoma Diamond Audio 300.4, Two fuse blocks, maybe 5 feet of 4 gauge wire, and two Ground Loops. Everybody makes mistakes, I guess some just work out better than others. I'll let the pictures do the talking. I thank god I was parked where I was and my house or the tree didn't catch on fire. I'm really lucky I was able to put it out with my water hose in less than a minute. I could have been so much worse. The fire department or police did not get involved in this issue, so it saves the hassle of all the paperwork and shit that may have to be dealt with. Don't post any negative stuff. I know I fucked up, I'm depressed hell, I just want the kids who are just getting into this to learn from my mistakes if they can. Blackedout
Oh yeah, whats left of the car will get parted out. If you know of anybody looking for a pristine engine (160k miles), quarter panels (They may need paint now, from the ash), or a truck bed, let me know. I threw the amp, deck, and HC600 in the trash, but if I can open the crusty amp, I will. Most of the plastic is melted on it, thats why I threw it away. It had liability. It wasn't an expensive truck, so anything more would've been pointless. Trunk Build Log
