looks good maybe someday car manufactures will catch on and realize that putting a wall of subs in new cars will make them safer than side airbags. just a thought.:lol:

rofl, probably would end up with the wall being like stock door locations....all plastic or flimsy metal to hard the paper woofers.

because you weld metal to metal. not metal to paint.

Paint does not conduct electricity...also as the paint burns off it contaminates the weld... ;)

A half-wit gave you a piece of his mind, and you held on to it.

yeah what they said. heh

havent worked on it much, did some grinding late yesterday, nothing pic worthy at this point.

Im saving up some cash so I can purchase some stuff to finish off the air system, with my sunroof leaking like a siv my switch box has rusted up so I need to replace that, I also need to get a new compressor (mine is weak wont do 200psi) and then I need a nitrogen setup, re-run my air lines under the car like I should have done to begin with so I can get this pig off the ground.

thanks coogle.

well Im working on the car alittle bit here and there, today I thought I would try my hand at polishing.

The airtank is raw aluminum, so I cleaned it and started polishing it, its not done yet, but its getting there, the metal needs some work, and Im not down for that, since it will be mostly hidden up high on the back of the wall in the trunk.

it has a long way to go still, Im waiting on my batteries ( 18v dewalts FTW) to charge back up.

that was a two step polish, first rouge (6 microns) then white rouge (2.5 microns) Im still working on the 2.5 micron step, I will post finish pics later tonight.

I have never been able to polish anything with any kind of buffer without messing something up whats the key to polishing aluminum

the key is taking your time, speed of the wheel also can be a factor, I like my wheel spinning fast, with a minumal amount of rouge.

here is pics of the tank from before I polished it.
