sundownz
I added a second baffle to the top layer last night and... 150.1 dB today! sundownz
Oh... we did screw up a little bit on the scientific method here. We changed out the CD player to one with an iPod interface so it wouldn't skip so the extra baffle thickness is not the only variable we changed. So, don't assume adding a second baffle will gain you 6 tenths Quote - Jacob Fuller - Owner, Sundown Audio - Sundown Audio on FACEBOOK - Please DO NOT PM ME -- use my email address -- [email protected]

sundownz
nice .....now get ready for Saturday Hopefully we can get it to be consistent and do that number at the show. The frequency changed from 53 hz to 50 Hz on us here... so not sure if that was temperature, the second baffle, or what. sundownz
I think it's pretty loud It is also a box very capable of playing music still - we beat on it pretty hard on music today with no issues at all. I also think it has more in it for a few reasons: 1) My voltage sucks due to ~60 amp alternator - HO alt on the way in a few weeks 2) Have not messed with box position at all yet - just centered it and went with it. Will trying moving it around soon. 3) Box is still single layer on all faces except the baffle, I doubled that last night 4) We are still testing the "daily" coil for this sub - I think the "SPL" coil will be louder Quote - Jacob Fuller - Owner, Sundown Audio - Sundown Audio on FACEBOOK - Please DO NOT PM ME -- use my email address -- [email protected]
Forevrbumpn
sounds good Jacob, cant wait to see the final result in production Quote I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy. sundownz
sounds good Jacob, cant wait to see the final result in production I'm pretty excited about it - so far I am pleased with the results, especially that I can reach this sort of score with one woofer and still play music effortlessly.
