I assume you are running an aftermarket H/U since you have a remote wire in the harness. The ideal situation would be to install a relay on the remote wire and than each amp will have its own turn on. Not sure if the way you have it set up is dangerous or anything but better safe than sorry. It would suck to burn up 2 amps.

2 amps should be fine any more than that and iu would put the relay in.

you wouldnt burn up the amps, only the remote wire. if the amps dont have enough juice in the remote wire, they just wont turn on

87 constant power. 85 ground 86 head unit and 30 to the amp. remember run the positive and negative to battery, reason for this so there is no questions that it is working.

edit just looked at mine.

this might help a lil bit, u can get this , http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cf...tnumber=330-070 and this also http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cf...tnumber=330-075 , should be all u will need, but what i normally do is just wire off the red acc wire and fuse it off the headunits harness for a remote wire but the relay should work better tho, hope this helps man

I believe that 85 would be switched+12volts, 86 would be ground, 30 is also +12 volts, and 87 is to the amps.

why would you get the second part? the female? pointless. just run a female terminal off of the relay.

no offense, but it doesnt matter what you run off of an amp. its still turning on.

go to the fifth section down. just a standard single pole double throw (spdt) relay that you can buy at ANY parts store instead of ordering it from online and waiting for it to come in.......
