you can see light thru the port because the hatch is the enclosure. Instead of building a complete box.

i couldnt see 45 cubes outta the back half of a sealth..i could be wrong... but wouldnt the hatch bouncing compromise sound?

I was thinking the same, plus all of the weird curves and shit, it probably isn't as efficient as a wall should be.
