meade916 Posted October 27, 2006 Report Share Posted October 27, 2006 Fi is something different LOL like i said no one else i know is running them and i get out a lot.....people look at me crosseyed when they ask what i have and it say "FI". It dont matter, like i said, i buy what performs and its more then obvious they are performing. You randomly running into 3 people in your small town that run Fi is astronomical odds.....i go to tons of shows and other then competitors, to this day, i havent ran into 2 people in the crowd that have RE in their car let alone Fi. If they did so what it just means they have good taste and know quality. I seen more people runnin DD than any other top brand and i dont think to myself "i dont want it now" - i think "good choice, you know your shit, id like to get my hands on some of those". When are you gonna start making your own equipment because thats the only way you will have something that no one else has. So far IMO something that not many people have is RE, DD, and least of all Fi. I dont care how many 16yr old smart mouth kids are on the net talking this or that, in the big picture not that many people "have" these brands. Hell most of the other people i know running them, arent even running a front stage thats worth a damn, and IMO thats a nono, but im not a true basshead either. I went to some shows and almost hated the sound of some of the competitors there. Guess im more of a SQ guy, but LOUD SQ lol. I would say SQl but that terms thrown all over the internet. Now matter how you look at it takes a lot of trust to drop that kind of cash that kind of product that frankly is not mainstream. Just cause us car audio neards have see/ heard of these companies doesn't meen that everyone has. It's good that someone in your town has done their homework and decided to try out the new name in in the game. I've always ran "off" brand subs and get a kick when people come up and say that haven't heard of said company Designing, building, and shipping boxes.
