To the ford/chevy argument....

Well I have a Ford Mustang AND a Chevy Nova.... they both smoke people in the lane allll daaaay... So I can take both sides of that argument AND back it up.

Someone said check the mass airflow sensor: after I upgraded the throttle body and added a cold air intake to my 05Mustang, I had sort of the same problem... I just made sure things were tight, and one of the thigs I took out/cleaned was that sensor... Maybe it got a tad dirty or was a little loose or crooked after changing the cold air intake but Lo and behold it was running normal after that.

Custom 1977 Chevy Nova Show Car:

(1) Kenwood KDC-MP638U Head Unit

(10) Sony 3" in the dash

(2) Rockford Fosgate P3 12" P3D412

(1) Rockford Fosgate P1000.1bd @ 1ohm

(1) Rockford Fosgate PEQ Bass Remote

(1) Rockford Fosgate 1 Farad Digital Capacitor RFC1D

All Rockford Fosgate 4AWG Power/Ground wire

Under construction:

(2) Rockford Fosgate P162C 6.0" 2-Way Full-Range Speakers up front

(2) Rockford Fosgate P1694C 6"x9" 4-Way Full-Range Speakers in the back

EVERYTHING hidden to maintain authentic look

Most 5.0 stangs have good torque and pull decently at takeoff. Check the Mass air sensor. It may be dirty and sending false readings.

What year cause some are speed density sensor 89 a back....88 in california....

i have to agree with SAC on this it sounds like a false reading from the mass airflow.
