How reliable are they? Talking about the 90s models in particular... no certain year... Just looking.

All's I've heard is they have some electrical problems...

I love the MKiii Jetta, great car, mine has almost 2oo,ooo on the odometer, the only issues I have seen was the factory alarm went haywire on me, but thats easily defeattable.

they get great gas mileage, are kinda quick if you do a few mods to them, they have a huge aftermarket following them.

They are great cars, I had a new (back in) 1998 red Jetta GT, and I really miss that car....lost her in a flood :sorry:

VW/Audi are really great cars that many people don't take the time to learn much about.

Don't they already make a turbo version of the Jetta in a 1.8? For some reason I was thinking that they do, but maybe I'm thinking of the Golf.

That is the G60 u are talking about. It is a 1.8 4-cil with a G-loader, compressor in normal talk.

Great and fast engines, but the g-loader will not last too long...

they do now, they didnt in 1988. the older 1.8 16v is a better engine from what i understand.

87- 90 id be happy with one of those yrs with a 1.8 16v.
