Then lay in the trays and wait till you got jerkey. You can make peppered by sprinkling pepper over meat when in the tray. you can buy liquid smoke or somthing like that to add a smokey flavor but I dont really care for it, doesnt taste the same as real smoked meat. Aaron813 Posted November 4, 2008 Report Share Posted November 4, 2008 Vic take a roast slice it 1/4 inch thick marinate it in Terayaki or soy sauce or whatever flavor you like for 24 hours no less it needs to soak into the muscle then dehydrate it.
