Amalan
if you really want to get into it, you need to look at what your gonna be doing with your laptop and where youll be taking it. if your gonna be on the battlefield lookin up gps coordinates then sure you want a solid laptop. if your not so extreme most things should suffice. I personally own a dell inspiron 1501, and it is solid as shit. however i hate the newer dell laptops. you just have to shop around, read reviews, and use your head. ive dropped my hp a few times actually and besides a few nicks here and there its still running like a beast. and mines a tablet pc so the screen is even more sensitive than most laptops. as long as you dont go for the super budget laptops you should be fine for everyday carrying around and tasking with a decent name brand laptop. no need to buy a ridiculously expensive laptop because its made of a fancier material than the cheaper one. the one brand id stay away from is acer. working at circuit city, that was the one brand that was brought in for service way more than anything else. Airborne
Try this place. http://www.xoticpc.com/sager-np2096-custom...l90-p-2409.html Brand names and laptops are funny. Different build houses (ODM's) put them together, send them to places like Dell and HP, the companies install a hard drive, CPU and software, slap a sticker on it and call it theirs. Look up names like Compal and Sager. You get the same quallity with a waranty at a way fuckin better deal.
