kingsuv
I'm looking far a laptop..... well 2 of them one for me another for the wife. I would like to keep the under the grand price tag, well much under but I don't want a pileo'shit either. We don't game but surf the web a lot. downloading and uploading vids mostly. I don't want something that needs to be upgraded as soon as we get them home. Don't need a ton of storage as I already have an external sittin here. The wife wants a pink one.... I do not So whats a good one to have? got some links to brands and models. I want to see if i can snatch 2 up on black Friday Quote Designing, building, and shipping boxes. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.

n8ball2013
ram and processors. ram anything over 2 gb should suffice for your needs. vista is a memory pig so you need a ton of it. processors. anything dual core. then the higher the speed the better. that is going to be the basic stuff for you. their is other things like front side bus speed and cache and stuff like that. My father in law got an hp from Sams with 4 gb ram and a 250 gb hard drive and 17inch screen for like 800 bucks. raytard
try and find one with xp, i ahte vista, its a resource hog if you find an xp machine, 1-2gb ram, 2.0-2.4ghz processor, integrated wifi/network, 13 inche screen is great, smaller or bigger is preference/battery life, biggest harddrive you can get. No need for audio/video cards if you're not gaming. Make sure it has a diskdrive you need (burner? cd? blu ray? dvd? if its vista, just make it 2-4gb ram, dual core processor, faster the better. I think i have a dual 2.33 centrino and its pretty nice. much lower than that and you're going to have a frustrating machine.
