Forevrbumpn
man I love them subs I never owned one, but looks like a killer SQL sub I think from what I seen the glue bead was broken at the spider/coil, causing it to flop around badly I seen some people say it was the top plat rubbing against the coil, but I dunno.... Quote I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.
Charger
That's my vid. Thanks for posting We could have fed more power into it if the coil didn't keep shorting on the bottom plate, making sparks and sending the amp into protection. It's running off a Response 1500wrms monoblock (Same amp as Sundown 1500) there wasn't really anything hugely wrong with the sub. I think the coil had become mis alligned in the gap and scraped on certain notes. IDMAXs have such pissy weak suspension strength I don't really like IDMAXs. After this, we sold this sub to Cash Converters (A local pawnbroker) and that's the last we saw of it Edited November 11, 2008 by Charger Quote Previous 150+ daily rides: Volvo 240 wagon 2 x DD Audio 9915s walled, Isuzu Trooper 6 x DD Audio 3515s walled clamshell, Lexus LX470 2 x Kicked Solo X 18s, Lexus LS400 4 x American Bass HD18 walled SMD - System of The Month August 2008 My Youtube Videos
Forevrbumpn
well that sucks that was a very highly rated subwoofer too, for years Quote I have a ritual called "terminator". Charger
Not quite sure why people are in love with them so much. Sure, they have a tonne of XMAX but so do a lot of subs. I guess that's why people have different tastes. AI James
people love them because they sound great while getting decently loud. they do great off thier rated RMS but over RMS they start to come apart. I've owned 4 different ones of them and personally cant wait for the 15"s to come out in January/early Feb
Forevrbumpn
I have heard them, hell I built a box for a guy who had a 13w7, and swapped that for a IDmax 12, and I think there was a pretty good SQ and over all loudness improvement I always wanted to do like 4, no wall, just a good solid , ported box for them, see what they can do. but you know how that goes Quote I have a ritual called "terminator". AI James
ive tryed to squeeze alot of output out of them, but they arent very friendly to many 1/4 wave designs or tappered horns ect. they are great in a reg ported box but imo sound best in a sealed alignment
Forevrbumpn
thats what I remember hearing years back Sealed The box I built was pretty small, but was a long port, cant remember what, but sounded damn good Quote I have a ritual called "terminator".
