Noobtastic14
So im changing out the rear brakes on the car and the passenger side is done but i'm having an issue with the drivers side. i cant get the outer plate to separate from the inner plate!! About a year ago i had that drum seize while driving and it hasn't been opened since (it randomly just loosened about an hour later) so i'm thinking there is something wrong with the drum and brute force won't separate the sides, any tips or tricks i can use to get at the components?? -Drew Edited November 12, 2008 by Noobtastic14 Quote I am a United States Military Arts and Crafts Professional. E-Train
Some cars have little threaded holes you can put a bolt in and tighten it down and it pushes the drum off, should be one on each side, I know some toyotas, hondas, and chevys have it, dont know about other cars though. kingsuv
Some old drums, you have to back off the spring in the back with a screw driver. if there is too much drum worn down then the pads will catch the lip of the worn drum Quote Designing, building, and shipping boxes. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more.
