newls1 Posted November 24, 2008 Report Posted November 24, 2008 I have a HU that puts out either 2.5v or 4v cant remember to be honest with you, to all 3 outputs (front/rear/sub) I have an MTX TA4004 amp for the door speakers (that says max 5v input) and my US Amps MD3D with an 8v max input. My local stereo shop (who are great people) say that buying a line driver could help with sound quality, and better bass from the MD3D amp due to a much better signal. Whats ya'lls thought process about this? Here is the line driver I can get ( http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_13858_...Gold+TLD66.html ) Is this any good? THanks I love my staffie So anti FACEBOOK it isn't even funny
dmanson Posted November 24, 2008 Report Posted November 24, 2008 you can always just run the line driver to the amp with the highest voltage input. 2-DC 15XLM2 D.7s 1-DC 5K amp (1) XS Power D6500(UNDERHOOD) and (1) XS3000(REAR) 3 runs 1/0ga for power and 2 runs of 1/0ga for negative. ISO Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 You could use the TLD22 from Phoenix Gold. Its designed for use with one amp instead of 3 amps. Check out Ebay for them. http://cgi.ebay.com/PHOENIX-GOLD-TLD22-CAR...A1%7C240%3A1318 Isobaric - Refers to the practice of coupling two drivers together to make them act as one.
