Ascendant Audio Smd 18" Blowthough In Standard Cab S10

I am soon hoping to put a blow though in my 97 standard cab s10 but i need help with what amplifier, how many batteries i should go with and alternators... The sub would be the new Ascendant Audio SMD 18" as what indicated in title which comes out next soon.

since nobody really knows the final results of the sub its foing to be real hard to give you some solid help on that sub. As for all your other questions they can be answered with some searching.

2 extra batts and a 200 amp alt would be ok for 3000-4500 watts, how does that box sound?

imo i think there would be some serious box flex on the wood infront of the sub. i might be wrong though

for a woofer of that scale, I see to many flaws in that box

Would that box i think ill double up on the mdf. I have no idea how it would sound but for my situation i think its my only option...

Since this woofers is gonna be upwards of 80lbs I would double layer the woofer mounting baffle and definitely use t-nuts and allenhead bolts, as well as double layer the piece the woofer will be firing into.

how are you calculating tuning on it?

All those differences in air exiting is sure to be a wierd tuning

another thing, Iam sure that SMD sub is more than 12" deep, just a guess

so you will have to compensate for wood thickness, and woofer depth

and like Will said, to atleast double layer the MDF/Wood where the sub will be mounted at
