G_skillz81
Great ride!! are there any guidelines for the size of the opening between the cab and the bed? I've got an 18" on a TC3k motor that I want to put in the bed of my 03 Reg cab Ram (maybe get a second one later and run two). I can fit a 20" tall box under the bed cover which will let me have both subs and the port firing forward. How far back should they from the cutout and how small of an opening I can get away with? Also, where do get the accoridion boot to cover the gap? Sorry for the highjack.. 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 - Deep Orange Build log - Blowthrought with 4 18's http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/122600-4-18s-in-a-dodge-ram-team-sundown-russia/ Sundown Audio SAX125.2 - Sundown PA 10" Shok-wiring & RCA's XS Power D6500 Mechman 320A Sundown Audio Russia http://sundownaudio....dex.php?/index http://www.drive2.ru...ram/ram/skillz/ - more about my truck http://www.youtube.com/user/Gskillz81
Namosh
Thanks. Here's where I got my seal. http://www.trucknvans.com/CRL-Slider-to-Sl...-p/ed5381rl.htm The opening does effect the tuning of the box since it is essentially a bandpass box. In my first box I didn't do any calculating on the front chamber's volume or tuning. I just made it so the subs were back at half their diameter from the hole and it was loud. In my second box I built it so the front and back chambers are specifically tuned and it is louder, but I'm also running twice the power. What I'm saying is I'm sure that it makes a difference but I couldn't say for sure which way is more effective. I'm about to do some re-working of my set up and see if I can get a better understanding of it myself. My Ram Quad Cab Blow-through
