I played with one and it was 20 dB lower than my Term lab. Also, it peaks out at like 135 dB. Dont waste the money on that piece of poo. Term Lab is the only way to go. When I got term cad from the shop to do my wall blue prints it wouldnt install and kept giving me errors , so I had to use the shop computer.

Termcad is a wierd and wonderful special example, doesn't behave the same as the dB meter part 10.x volts fo' life!

Big Rrd Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 the hand held things are goot up till about 130's after that they dont work well at all also at about 150 they break and give readings as far off as 40 spl! buddy got one for free last year at sbn ! his port note was 180 in a 153 truck! after that it always read 200 at his dash!
