you know how much of a bitch it is to get my box in and out of my vehicle? then i gotta unkook everything, take the time to get it all carpeted or whatever then force it back in there and re hook everything...its a BITCH. they way my truck is i cant get the back subs out without taking out the box. so i gotta take out the front ones first. then get the box out with 2 subs in it...and so on. its a bitch. and not everyone cares if somone elses box is carpeted or not. hell you say it may bring more people...hell it sounds like its trying to eliminate people bacause i know a lot of people who dont cover their box....so your saying they cant compete then? bullshit fuck that. if the sport is gonna get that nit picky and anal then fuck it.

it sounds like a fun thing to do...its different and i like how its aimed for lower tuned vehicles. i understand rules but being that picky is just....wow

i love bassrace and i will always stick with that. theres the thing going on in my area called Street SPL. its a mix of bassrace and db drag outlaw and somewhat driveby. you get a mic in the passenger kick and a mic on your drivers side window with the door open. you play music and then they average your scores together. and you can open the passenger or any other window and/or moon roof. its badass. easy rules basically none but play music for 30 seconds and mic placement. i know its not anything really "by the book" but its simple and fun.

i know what your saying. thats the point of shows " having fun " we know all about that. i could care less what someone thinks is " illegal " if its fun who cares as long as it dosent affect anyone else in the us who competes. i dont like rules to begin with thats why i dont db drag. too many rules. i like the anything goes competition. keeps shit interesting cause you never know what the next man has up his sleeve.

thats the way i am as well...just come out compete and have fun. thats why that street SPL is crazy. there was a guy that metered louder than me on the kick panel mic but i got him on the drivers door mic and i beat him by .1 db...also death matches are the shit!! crazy go have fun deals. db drag is kinda boring to me. its nice to see what score im hitting but i ususaly never have any competition. (nobody ever in my class)

What about the kids just starting out and building their first boxes but they dont know how to carpet yet.

Or they dont have access to a meter and want to test a few boxes before they finish their final version.

like i said before. this is not the only format of competition. do i need to draw a picture????? if noobs wanna step their game up then they can come into that class. until then the rules are as stands. by the way this is on the westcoast idk what other judges are doing. it their are any other judges.

There is nothing wrong with getting extra credit for taking a little extra time to make the install look nice. it's a nice way to show off your hard work to spectators at a show.

Some of these same spectators will become competitors at the next shows.
