hawkins6423 Posted January 16, 2009 Author Report Posted January 16, 2009 Yeah im down with the caulk lol but I got updates Tonight we put everything into the box and tried to fit it in the car... just a HAIR to big lol SANDING time..... Thats what the box looks like so far with the two yellow tops, sundown 3000 and the kickers and screens. I like it. forklift lol close to 500lbs Inside car just a little bit too big around the corners...... but yeah thats it for tonight more updates tomorrow.

PICASO anyone?exactly what i thought soon as i saw that last pic. i made 2 boxes for a member on here. one for subs, and one to go on top of the box for some bigger music speakers. with the box on top, he said he lost several db's. i forget the exact number, but he ended up not using the second box i madethe box tho looks pretty kickass tho. hope it sounds it. but...if it's not what you expect i wouldnt blame any of the equipment

I got a question though... whats the longest time fiberglass can take to cure, its been 24 hours now with this hope depot bullshit and its kinda dry but weak as hell. its about 55 degrees in houston.

Temperature should be ok, you might not have used enough hardener. Not much you can do about it besides throw some lamps on it and let it dry or throw another layer of really hot mixed resin on top of it, but you gotta work quickly. I don't mean to be downing your work, but that box, although solidly constructed, is poorly designed. You could have drawn up a simple square box and did a similar baffle on top of that.
