Ok, i have 2 15 level 4 XLs comming my way here in a day or 2 when rusty ships them out. My question is this, I want a low groundpounder box, whats the lowest tuning i CAN go? i was thinking between 28-30hz or should i stick with 32? i want to get crazy lows...

any imput would be appricated !!

also box will be about 8 cubes total

I like to go between 30-32, any lower than that and i think the extension isn't worth the loss of output across the rest of the frequencies. But i listen to a lot of stuff and if your finding music in that range it may be worth it, its all preference.

i have my XLs in a 8cube wall tuned to 34hz...and it gets real low...not like my other box did when i had stock LVL4s in tuned to 28hz :hairtrick: but i love the way my XLs sound in a 34hz wall :hairtrick:

depends on your what your car peaks too.

mines tuned at 32hz and it does pick up lows but it peaks at 44hz.

but yes 32hz is good enough.

imo. 10 cubes at 35 hz would be better. your gonna need the extra 2 cubes unless there gonna be way over powered.

they both will be seeing roughly 1500 watts rms if not alittle more so should be right about the same rms as they need
