07sOnAtA sp.ed
Hey guys As some of you may know, I am trying to sell my amp to get an SAZ-1500D. These amps great, and i love everything i hear about em. anyway, i was wondering if i could run one of them at.5ohms daily if i keep my voltage up? I heard that running any amp at .5 ohms, will decrease the life of an amp, primarily due to voltage drops and increase power loads. If run a 1500d w/ my current electrical and Powermaster D2400+(D2400, D2700, D3100) in the back, will i be good? Or should i just get the subs in dual four, and just run a 1ohm load? thanks in advance for the advice Quote CURRENTLY UNDER RE-CONSTRUCTION 2008 Hyundai Sonata Team T3 Audio Team Deadly Hertz Team SMD (Street Motivated Devastation)

07sOnAtA sp.ed
i think im gonna be getting a used one; well... one that's not directly from "Sundown Audio". This question has nothing to do w/ the warranty, will it hurt the amp or no?? The main reason is, i don't think that im gonna have a warranty anyway. So i just want to know if the amp will work fine at .5 ohms. I normally wouldn't be asking this question w/ other amps, but these amps used to be warrantied at .5 ohms, so i think they should be fine. But since im not 100% sure, ill ask you guys who have had experience with it. Loudcav
they only reason Jacob took the 1/2 ohm coverage down was because he got 100 emails a day from noobs with honda alts and honda batteries that asked if they were safe to run it at 1/2 ohm took up a ton of his time so it was just much easier to say 1 ohm coverage
Loudcav
oh and if you can get the invoice from the original owner you can get the remainder of the 2 year warrenty
Derrick824
These amps will run just fine @ 0.5ohm daily. As for electrical I recommend a 200a alt and a decent battery in the rear to support it.
sundownz
If you do blow the amp (power supply): http://www.sundownaudio.com/warranty.html If you are under warranty / the amp is in excellent condition you can still pay $30 to get a replacement. "1) If your amplifier has a blown power supply or damage from excessive vibration there will be a charge for a warranty replacement within the 2-year policy: * SAZ-1500D and smaller amplifiers (or any future model under 2000 watts) - $30 in the continental USA (AK and HI add $15) * SAZ-2000D and SAZ-3000D (or any future model 2000 - 3000 watts) - $50 in the continental USA (AK and HI add $20)" Quote - Jacob Fuller - Owner, Sundown Audio - Sundown Audio on FACEBOOK - Please DO NOT PM ME -- use my email address -- [email protected]

Nightshade
If your only running one for now you should be absolutely fine off of that single 2400 plus the stock battery. I run 2 1500's at .5 off of a similar electrical. I can say that the stock battery in my car seems to be going out and will be replaced sometime next week when my new battery gets here. An alt is a must, but you can get away without one for a while.
