My 1st "build"

Ok so an update couldnt finish because my t-1000-1's ground screw was like wedged in their, took it to Vibez, my local shop, and they took care of me like always. so i work all day tommorow and tonight, but SUNDAY i dont work at ALL itll be done. WITH more pics and vids i promise. So see you then.

I f you still have the 1.5 inch wide port then you should make it wider, and re-do you're port calculations, because i have an old Cerwin Vega sub in my room and it has a 1.75 inch wide port and it still has port noise at higher volumes.

(btw it's a 10 inch CV sub)

Thanks man yeah i have installed 1 other system consisting of my old 12" SSD and RF T-500-1 and now this. So im not a pro or anything but i am learning from all my mistakes. I appriectiate it

If i can notice it inside the cab, i will do something about it but as of right now im not going to change anything. Maybe down the line, but right now im just excited to hear it

egh, what do i know? i just install at a retail shop everyday for a living.

we use ports smaller then that daily in our custom boxes, we never have ANY port noise, until i come across some, it doesnt exist to me.

you don't think it exists because you can't tell the difference between port noise and clean bass.

i'm guessing because all of your boxes have port noise and you think that is what "bass" sounds like.

tell ya what.

build a box and port it with a 1/2" pvc pipe and tune it to 34 HZ.

then cut out that hole and put a 4" pvc pipe in and tune it the same.

it'll show you the difference between no port noise with the 4" and horrible port noise with the 1/2"

I'm totally gonna try that ...but anyway, thats a nice install, I don't think port noise will be a problem with the box in the trunk, but I'm a noob so who knows

thanks man i aprieciate it, i hope there wont be any port noise, i am hoping to finish tommorow, with a new amp location that will be easier for me to mess with the amp while in the car.

And it sounds great a lot louder than i thought it would be. No Port noise that i can hear, sounds clean, but very loud. Thanks for looking
