i did some more searching on the velleman site and on there dealer list it comes up with a company called OMNITRON ELECTRONICS INC. http://www.omnitronelectronics.net/phpstore/index.php not sure if kitsusa is a part of them but the site looks the same. so if they are the same company then they are on the velleman dealer list. http://www.vellemanusa.com/us/enu/dealer/s...id=3&step=3 scroll down and it shows OMNITRON ELECTRONICS INC.

My bad roscoe. I was just pissed off that this thing. The fucking scope kept giving me ugly clipped signals on my eD amp even at lowest gain. I have no fucking clue why the fuck it's doing this. No matter what gain level I tried, it would either show me a little clipped wave. Sometimes it would only show a clip wave at the negative peak of the wave and show no clip at the top positive waves. I have no clue wtf is going on. No way my highly built eD amp is fucked up. It would be a pain in the ass for me to send this amp to eD cause shipping is a killer from where I'm located. 5 yr warranty is bullshit when I'm this far away.

Well, this is good news that I'm under warranty with the velleman. I did some research and they have a headquarters somewhere in texas. Hopefully I can just send my unit there instead of outside the USA if I need to have them check for defect.

I've just posted some pics on their .be site forum for tech support. Hopefully they can figure something out.

If you're getting that then your ground clip is probably in the wrong place

All I did was stick the probe behind under the battery lid. I left the ground clip hanging. These scopes have a built in ground for when calibrating I think.

The guy on the velleman tech support forum keeps telling me that there's nothing wrong with my scope.

You're only showing the top 1/2 of the waveform.

But please, I an too old and have been repairing and calibrating

test equipment for too many years, to care to argue any of this.

I have just tried to help you understand the entry level instrument

you have purchased. There is nothing wrong with it, you just have to

understand it's limitations--which all instruments have, as the are all imperfect...

i used mine yesterday with the clip just hangin around and it worked fine
