AWESOME! Only concern is the 2" port is gonna cause some noise but its not like you cant refigure later and put a wider one in as long as there is room.

I talked to him about maybe doing one big port, but to be honest I wast sure what size port to use if we went with a single one. Here's my math...So as stated we are going with 2 2'"x6" ports ( w x l) so we should be able to use a single port with a size of 4" x 6" and get the same results correct? Also would this lessen our chance for port noise?

honestly it depends on what you want to be tuned to ...

Edit after some quick calculations your gonna be tuned around 47hz

If you do one 4"port for that same result your gonna need 11.96 for your length to get the desired frequency

4x6 would tune you around 61 hz

All the specs are saying 42, but I have never built a box for 8's so I am unsure how low I can set them..

2 2X6's are the exact same port area as 1 4X6" port. With the 4X6 you'll probably need to make it longer to compensate for being larger overall. Where do you want the tuning to be? Give me the box size and what tuning you want and I'll tell you exactly how long it needs to be with a 4X6" port.

and just a rule of thunb for me i try not to go any smaller than 3" port for 8" drivers. Its not car audio law just my own practice

Gotcha. Yeah I would rather see some circle ports in there anyway. I do also agree with you Roscoe on at least going with a 3" or larger port. If they did 2 3" ports it would be 9.42sqin per cuft and is a pretty nice amount of port to box size. That is if I'm correct in assuming that the box is going to be 1.5 cubes.
