redbaron80
yes, i know this, but again, i make enough PROVABLE and TAXED income to get anything on that lot - ive never ever had a problem getting a car and ive paid every one of them off from the first payment to the very last.... knowing what i make and what my bills are, its not a debt to income ratio problem - it COULD be that i have too much credit activity going on at once. I honestly, even though i can, dont want to take on a $50,000 loan anyway.....id really like to stay in the 40's or lower even if i have to settle for an 07 or 08. we'll see, im starting to get the urge to go looking again as i sit at my desk. I hear you, My credit score if 700+ and my credit cards keep getting reduced due to high revolving debts. Nothing like buying a BRAND NEW CAR. I got my 2005 Altima in 2004 brand new (17 miles on it). IF you can afford it, new is great because you know how the car has been treated. And I just paid off my teg, so I feel you on having hella car payments going on. GREAT looking car you are looking at IMO. Edited March 17, 2009 by redbaron80 Quote Official Scores at the Dash. and YES. wildbeast15
first rule is dont tell them how much you are willing to spend... when someone comes to the lot and says i have fifteen to spend of 30 to spend we are going to find a 25 thousand dollar car for 30 thats the biz.. go in and look at cars and see how much they will go below that because right off the bat if you get the info on the car kbb it and get the loan from your bank (car delership loans arnt usually so great and they can fuck you over with interest.) that shows them oyu mean biz.. if all else fails come to ny and ill sell you one lol.. I feel ya on that Steve....I'm looking at a new house, and a new ride for the wife, but I have too much credit activity going on too! We just paid her car off, but if we were to sell it, chances are, we wouldn't get what we want for it....same thing with the house!LOL Hell it might be a good thing though....with the way the economy is and all....who knows! meade916
If you wait long enough Caddilac will be out of business. With selling practices like THAT, they will be. Either give the customer what they want, or go broke. The car business is at the lowest point in the last 50 years, you would hope they would adjust to the times. YOU WILL find a great vehicle Steve, keep your options open and keep at it. well like foreverbumpin said, its the bank not the caddy dealer - the caddy dealer would love nothing more then to see me take that car... its the BANKS that are hard to get loans with. I can get a loan, its just hard to do get one that makes me happy....and slimeball salesmen annoy me, my happiness doesnt last long when im sitting in that chair for 2 hours. BJD3
The new CTS's are dead secksy, and their build quality seems to be pretty good too. While a CTS-V model would be kick ass, I believe they still are only available in 6-spd manual, unless they are putting the new 6L80E behind it, like in the corvette. I think you would be more than happy with the normal V8 model, and like said, even the V6 model isn't a slouch. Unless something's changed: The CTS-V optionally has the 6L90E in it. The "regular" CTS only has two V6s. The standard 3.6 and the 3.6DI. EDIT: Transposed numbers. Edited March 17, 2009 by BJD3 Quote Anti Peel and Seal...lol You may be offended by the above. str86diesel
Steve, If I could make one huge suggestion FWIW that helped the wife and I get our cars....call AAA Fleet sales and see if they can't find you what you want at a damn good price (and no you don't have to be an AAA member to take advantage of their services). When we called them and told them what we wanted (about a 15 minute conversation), they found the cars, with the options that we wanted, told us what their price was (about $6000 less than the dealer price). There was absolutely 0 haggling, no salesmen to deal with...NADA. The next day, he had us qualified and had the cars on his lot. We rolled up, spent 10 minutes signing paperwork and left with the cars. NO JOKE, the whole deal was less than 1 hour at a much better cheaper price than any local car lot can do, and we visited 3 other dealers beforehand. I will NEVER step foot on another car lot again. AAA Fleet sales always for me from now on. Kev Edited March 17, 2009 by str86diesel Quote 2k6 Dodge Ram 2500...CUMMINS POWERED - SOLD
